Publisher/Editor - Lynda Gray
Lynda is an award-winning journalist and editor who’s covered rural and primary industry happenings for longer than she cares to admit. She is the editor of Deer Industry News and contributor to a number of past and present agri-titles as well as several specialist trade and industry publications. She likes the one stop, summary format of AgBrief and achieves this with the expert input of Ross and Sue.
Sue Miller
Sue was the first woman journalist to break down the brick wall at the exclusively-male Greymouth Evening Star, then on to the Bay of Plenty Times, Northern Advocate, and Tourist and Publicity Dept. She spent four years in the Beehive as press secretary to several ministers, to Telecom, NZ Meat Board, then joined husband as a freelancer and a member of Kotuku Media. She was awarded the MNZM for her 20 years of work as secretary of the NZ Guild of Agricultural Journalists Communicators, including representing New Zealand at several international conferences, sitting on the World Executive of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists and, with her husband Ross, organising the 2015 IFAJ World Congress, based in and around Hamilton.
Ross Miller
Ross is a ‘forever’ journalist and photographer, his career starting back on the Greymouth Evening Star in 1970 when there was still hot type (that’s hot metal typesetting). From there to Bay of Plenty Times, Northern Advocate, Tourist and Publicity Dept, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, editor of special publications at Inprint and finally Moana Press and Kotuku Media as a book publisher. In later years a freelancer and magazine editor, and heavily involved in rural matters and supporting his wife Sue’s involvement in the Guild of Agricultural Journalists and Communicators.
